This week in India Loud & Clear we take you into the discriminated lives of India’s mothers, sisters, daughters and wives.

How do girls dance? And boys? How do they laugh? And typically cry? Gender stereotyping is all around us as we live in a strongly prejudiced, male-dominated society. Crores of females have to face patriarchy daily, many without even knowing what this means.
 
In hundreds of ground reports our Community Correspondents showed over the past years how gender inequality dominates female lives to the extremes. Up to wearing the veil and the absurd custom of not naming your husband’s name. Anchor Grace takes you to the states of Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and West Bengal to tell their stories.
